examination in
I have caused Mr.
Wise to be informed that I cannot conscientiously recommend to Your Lordship that he should
be exempted from passing the
examination in
question,
as
I am
of opinion that; if the conditions imposed by the Secretary of State
were
with one sub-enc 26th June, 1885
were deemed impossible of ~ fulfilment on the part of M. Wire,
he should at once have said so,
and destined the office; but, having accepted it, the conditions should be complied with.

Mr
M2 Wise was, however,
informed that I had
no
objection to recommend to
to Your Lordship the postponement of his examination until six
months after the resumption of his proper duties at the Magistracy; and probably Your
Lordeship
